Compared to western nations, university education is very inexpensive in Cambodia. Annual enrolment fees at a good university are around $US400 per annum. But for locals – especially local farmers – this makes university all but unaffordable.
The Savong School University Scholarships cover enrolment fees, but also living costs over the four years (intermediate plus 3 years of Bachelors study).
- Enrolment. $400 per annum.
- Living expenses (books, food, stationery etc) $600 per annum.
- Laptop computer. This is a requirement of the university.
The Savong Organization also provides input including study space each evening (with electricity) as well as WiFi.
These help ensure the students have an adequate environment in which to read, study and complete assignments.
